This page explains how to request deletion of data held by InstaAgent Internal Tooling, including Meta Platform Data.
1. About the Service and the data it holds
InstaAgent Internal Tooling is an internal staff tool used by InstaAgent, a Hong Kong marketing agency, to manage clients' social media. It is not a consumer app, and members of the public do not have accounts in it.
The Service does not offer accounts to, or collect personal data directly from, the end consumers or followers of our clients' Facebook Pages or Instagram accounts through the Service itself. There is therefore normally no consumer data for a member of the public to delete from the Service.
The data we do hold and can delete on request is:
- Meta Platform Data for assets a client shared with us — Facebook Page identifiers and metadata, the connected Instagram Business account ID and username, references to content we published, and advertising account, ad performance, and ad audience data tied to those assets.
- Content and media — captions, text, images, video, reference media, and scheduling/version metadata.
- Client business-profile data — business name, industry, description, assigned team.
- Staff account data — name, work email, hashed credentials, role/label.
2. Who can request deletion
- Clients (the businesses we work with, or their authorised representatives) — for their business profile, their Content, and the Platform Data tied to their Business Assets.
- Staff (current or former employees/contractors) — for their Service account data.
- Members of the public / a client's end consumers — if you believe we hold personal data about you, you may still contact us; in most cases your Facebook/Instagram data is held by Meta and by the relevant Page/account operator (our client), and we will direct you appropriately and assist that client as needed.
3. How to request deletion — step by step
You can request deletion in any of these ways:
Option A — Email request (recommended)
- Send an email to hello@instaagent.com.
- Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request".
- In the email, include:
- your name and the organisation/Client you are associated with (if any);
- what you want deleted — for example, "all data for [Client / Facebook Page / Instagram account]", or "my staff account";
- the relevant Facebook Page name/ID and/or Instagram username, if your request concerns a specific Business Asset;
- a way for us to verify you are entitled to make the request (for example, that you reply from an email address we already have on file for you or the Client).
- We will acknowledge your request, verify it, and confirm in writing once deletion is complete.
You do not need a Service account or Facebook Login to submit a deletion request by email.
Option B — In-app removal (Staff)
Authorised Staff can remove Client business profiles, posts, and reference media directly within the Service. To delete a Staff account, contact an administrator or email hello@instaagent.com.
Option C — Revoke our Meta access
A Client can also stop our access to a Business Asset at any time by removing the Facebook Page, Instagram Business account, or advertising account from InstaAgent's Meta Business Manager (Business ID 529778033514936), or through their own Facebook Business Settings. Once access is revoked, our System User token can no longer reach that asset, and we will delete the associated stored Platform Data as described below. Sending us a deletion request at hello@instaagent.com in addition ensures any stored copies are removed.
4. What we delete and when
Once a valid request is verified, we will:
- delete the Meta Platform Data we hold for the relevant assets (Page/Instagram/ad account identifiers, metadata, stored references to published content, ad performance data, and ad audience data);
- delete the associated Content, media, scheduling, and version metadata from our database and file storage;
- delete client profile or staff account data, as requested.
We complete deletion within 30 days of verifying the request.
Exceptions: we may retain limited data where we are legally required to (for example, to comply with tax, accounting, or other legal obligations, or to resolve disputes or enforce agreements). Any retained data continues to be protected under our Privacy Policy and is deleted once the obligation ends. We cannot delete content already published to a client's Facebook Page or Instagram account from the Meta Platforms themselves — that must be removed by the Page/account operator within Facebook or Instagram, or via Meta.
5. Confirmation
We will notify you by email at the address you contacted us from once your deletion request has been completed, or explain any data we are legally required to retain and why.
